Koon Group provides governmental consulting services with a special focus on insurance regulation and compliance issues affecting insurers, brokers, and trade associations in the property, casualty, life, health, and warranty business. These services include representation before legislative and executive entities, analyses of insurance rate and form filings, development of legislation and rules, and strategic advice and regulatory guidance on matters related to insurance products and markets.
Insurers are often challenged by state-specific regulations put in place to address unique circumstances – whether they are a result of catastrophes like hurricanes and floods or other cost drivers stemming from our legal system. These challenges are further exacerbated when insurers are doing business in multiple jurisdictions which present a range of unique circumstances across local, state, and federal boundaries. Rich specializes in helping clients overcome these challenges using years of regulatory experience at the state and national levels.
